Welcome to Scholars Weekend

 

Scholars Weekend is a 2-day event for high school seniors who have been admitted to Fisk University for the Fall 2024-2025 school year. This year, Scholar's weekend will be held from April 14th through April 15th. It is an intimate experience for prospective students to learn about Fisk University and how we can help cultivate your future!

2024 Scholars Weekend

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. - CHECK-IN/Block Party - Roland G. Parrish Career Development Center

2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. - WELCOME TO FISK UNIVERSITY - Jubilee Hall, Appleton Room

3:15 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. - Academic Fair (Note: Utilize the Academic Fair Guide to know where the different departments are in the library.) Henderson A. Johnson Gymnasium 

4:30 p.m. - Scholar Pick-up/Free time

5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. - DINNER WITH HOST IN THE CAFÉ (STUDENTS & Host) - Adam K. Spence Hall

5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. VP's Reception (Parents Only): Roland G. Parrish Career Planning Center 

6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. - Movie Showing - Appleton Room

8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. - King’s Mentality (YOUNG MEN ONLY) - New Livingstone Hall (Lobby)

8:00 p.m.– 9:30 p.m. - Queen’s Corner (YOUNG LADIES ONLY) - Jubilee Hall (Appleton Room)

10:00 p.m. - CURFEW CHECK All Residential Learning Centers

8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. - BREAKFAST (STUDENTS ONLY) - Adam K. Spence Hall (Cafeteria)

8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. DORM CHECK-OUT – All students must check out of their respective dorm and check into the luggage holding room.

9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. - MONEY MATTERS (PARENTS ONLY) Panel Discussion with Financial Aid and Student Accounts - Jubilee Hall (Appleton Room)

10:00 a.m. - Class Picture (Steps behind Cravath Hall) - Cravath Hall

8:15 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. - THE FISK PROMISE Panel Discussion from AESP, LEAD, some Department Heads - Jubilee Hall (Appleton Room)

9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. THE FISK EXPERIENCE: STUDENTS ATTEND A CLASS (STUDENTS ONLY) - Park Johnson Hall and Talley Brady Hall

12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. - LUNCH - Adam K. Spence Hall (Cafeteria)

1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. - FISK OUTCOMES Panel Discussion with Career Planning & Development Team - Jubilee Hall (Appleton Room)

2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. - FISK BOUND Panel Discussion with Athletics, Residence Life, Student Activities, and Campus Safety - Jubilee Hall (Appleton Room)

3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. - OPTIONAL TOUR OF CAMPUS (Tour groups will depart from Jubilee Hall) - Jubilee Hall

Tuition and Fees
All scholarships are merit-based, and students are assessed on a holistic view once they have applied. The only scholarship that can be applied for is our Endowed scholarship, which follows a need-based model.

Our preview days are for Admitted STUDENTS ONLY. All other prospective students are encouraged to leave campus and all other students are welcome to schedule a campus tour using the link below.

Campus Visit
Your registration fee includes breakfast, lunch, a Fisk T-shirt, and a swag bag.

All students are highly encouraged to stay on campus to get the full bulldog experience, but other overnight arrangements can be made.
