Summer 2026 Financial Aid
Summer 2026 Financial Aid
Overview
Federal Financial Aid is available for students who will be enrolled at Fisk during Summer 2026. Students should know that they must be enrolled in at least a total of (6) credit hours during the summer to receive any federal student aid. This can be a combined total of (6) hours over the three summer terms.
Summer 2026 Financial Aid Steps
Step #1: Students applying for summer financial aid must have completed and submitted the 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) no later than June 15, 2026, to allow time for processing of your summer aid prior to the June 30, 2026, deadline.
Step #2: If you were selected for Federal Verification for the 2025-2026 year, you must complete the verification process prior to receiving for summer aid.
Step #3: If your enrollment status changes during the summer session(s) you must contact the Financial Aid Office because this may change your aid eligibility.
Please allow 2-3 weeks for your summer aid to show up in the Fisk portal.
Are you planning to take summer courses at another institution?
Since you are degree seeking at Fisk University, we may be able to award financial aid for these courses.
You may only receive financial aid at Fisk on coursework at other institutions if:
- You complete and are approved for Study Away by the Registrar’s Office for coursework that is eligible for your program of study at Fisk University.
- You complete and are approved for a Financial Aid Consortium Agreement by the Office of Financial Aid at Fisk University.
To request consideration for a Financial Aid Consortium Agreement, please email financialaid@fisk.edu and include your name and Fisk Student ID number.
