Biography: Firdous Kausar

Firdous Kausar Ph.D.

Dr. Firdous Kausar is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. Prior to Fisk, she worked as an associate professor and assistant professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Sultan Qaboos University, Oman, from 2017 to 2023. She also worked as an assistant professor in Computer Science Department at Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 2010 t0 2017.
Her research interests include network security, access control, authentication and key management, cybersecurity data science, IoT security, blockchain, digital forensics, biometric cryptosystems, and machine learning. She has co-organized several international workshops and conferences, served on many technical program committees, and reviewed papers for several journals, conferences, and workshops. She is a senior member of IEEE.
