Fisk University Presidential Search
The Fisk University Board of Trustees has formally launched a search for our next President. The Trustees have empaneled a Presidential Search Committee (PSC) and retained the executive search firm of Isaacson, Miller, Inc. (www.imsearch.com) to assist us in this critical search.
During June, July and August, the PSC and Isaacson, Miller will conduct listening sessions in Nashville and around the nation to gain insights about what our next President should address to advance the university, as well as the preferred experiences, skills and personal attributes our next president should possess. These sessions will engage our Board, senior leadership, faculty, staff, students, alumni, local community and business partners, including friends in the greater Nashville area. Information gained from these sessions and from responses submitted to the Community Feedback Survey link on this web page will be synthesized into a multiple page narrative which describes the opportunities and challenges which our next president will embrace. This profile will be approved by the Trustees and widely posted to interested parties. Candidate recruitment will start in earnest in late August and continue through the fall.
The PSC intends to interview and fully vet a pool of talented candidates who value our past and can lead us into the future. Subsequently, the PSC will recommend finalists to the Trustees in February of 2017.
You are invited to share your thoughts and concerns during listening sessions or through completion of the Community Feedback Survey, as well as nominate and suggest potential candidates for President, using the links on this web page. We remain grateful for your continued support and encourage you to periodically visit this site for updates on the search for President.
