Homecoming Scholars
Award Program



CRITERIA

The scholarship is open to all incoming, current, and graduate students pursuing a degree in the disciplines of study listed below. Students must hold a 3.5 GPA or above. For students to be applicable, they must present proof of work in the field of study (essays,past assignments, portfolios, etc.). Incoming students must provide school assignments that demonstrate their interest in their desired field. Writing samples need not be published works.  To be eligible for the Homecoming Scholars Award each student must submit an Annual and Endowed Scholarship Application along with a 1000-word essay about one African or African-American thought leader in their field who has inspired them to achieve their goals (educational, professional, and/or community driven). The essay must also include how they plan to contribute to history through their own life’s work.
