This immersive visit offers students\, faculty\, and staff the opportunity to engage deeply with the author\, her work\, and the broader themes explored in People of Means—a novel grounded in Fisk history and the richness of Black storytelling. \nSchedule of Events\n9:00 AM – Arrival to Campus \nNancy Johnson arrives to Fisk University and is welcomed by campus leaders. \n9:30 – 11:00 AM – Class Visit \nPersonalized visit to the “African American Literature” course \nLocation: Park Johnson Hall\, Room 201 \nOpen to all students. \n11:30 AM – 12:30 PM – Lunch with Students \nLocation: Fisk Cafeteria \nA casual opportunity for students to connect directly with the author. \n12:30 – 1:30 PM – Campus Tour \nGuided tour exploring Fisk’s rich legacy and its influence on People of Means. \n1:30 – 4:30 PM – Break / Author Preparation \n5:00 – 6:00 PM – Summer Reading Lecture \nLocation: Appleton Room \nJoin Nancy Johnson for a dynamic conversation and keynote around People of Means. \nBook signing and official photo session to follow.
