SOLAR ECLIPSE VIEWING PARTY SCHEDULED FOR AUG. 21

To commemorate the long-awaited return of the Solar Eclipse, the Office of Student Engagement will host a Solar Eclipse Viewing Party on Monday, August 21 from 12pm-3pm in the Grove area of campus. Both the Fisk community and the Nashville community are invited to bring their blankets and lawn chairs to this special event. There will be music, refreshments and free Solar Eclipse glasses given on a first-come, first-serve basis.

In preparation of the viewing party, an informational session will be held on Friday, August 17 at 12:00pm in the Multipurpose Room of Spence Hall. Led by Dr. Kent Wallace, assistant professor of physics, attendees will learn about the science behind the eclipse and members from the Department of Life and Physical Sciences will be available for questions.
