Learning Objectives

Develop a global perspective:  Students will be able to evaluate the international environment in which businesses operate.

1. Demonstrate an understanding of the international business environment

2. Evaluate challenges and opportunities in the global market

Ethical and legal understanding: Students will know how to function ethically and evaluate ethical behavior in business. 

1. Be able to differentiate between right and wrong actions
2. Be able to navigate the legal environment
3. Analyze and raise the sensitivity to ethical issues in any environment
Use of Technology: Students know how to use modern technology to analyze problems and make presentations.

1. Be familiar with the uses of modern technology

2. Demonstrate usage of tools for presentations and data management

Analytical and critical thinking skills: Students will use critical thinking and analytical skills in resolving personal and corporate problems. Demonstrate critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills by identifying and evaluating multiple perspectives and draw sound conclusions
Content area:  Students will demonstrate in-depth knowledge in the content areas of Accounting 1. Demonstrate knowledge and use of  accounting in business

Note: The Department of Business Administration recognizes that clearly defined students learning outcomes are essential for a dynamic business program and it has in place a comprehensive outcomes assessment program. The Department, on a regular basis, continues to develop goals and processes to enhance learning outcomes and document improvements and achievements.

 The starting point of the outcome assessment process is the Department’s mission. The mission of the Business Department, which supports the University’s mission, is to provide students with excellent education and training in the fundamental and cognate fields of business and to prepare students for leadership within a high quality liberal arts environment.  To accomplish its mission, the Department specifies goals and student learning outcomes that are linked to direct and indirect measures.
