2020-2021 Vice President, Student Government Association
Vivian Iloabuchi is a senior majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She was born and raised in Nigeria. Vivian has always been an active leader on campus. She previously served as the Sophomore Class Senator and Junior Class Senator. She currently serves as the Student Government Association Vice President. She is also passionate about helping others and has shown this by serving as a Supplemental Instruction tutor for courses such as General Chemistry, General Biology, and Algebra.
Her interest in research and healthcare stems from growing up in an environment where people could not give her answers to the questions she had. Health disparities and measures taken to tackle them are growing passions that she is currently exploring. Someday, she intends to be an important figure in driving the change of policies that perpetuate health inequities. Upon graduation, Vivian hopes to keep conducting research and volunteering with causes close to her heart. She intends to eventually attend medical school and possibly pursue a career in cardiology or dermatology.
Vivian ran her campaign for Vice President on the platform of inclusivity. She wanted to ensure that Fisk felt like a home away from home for all students. She is actively working with the Senate and the rest of the SGA to bring that vision to life. In her free time, Vivian can be found spending time with friends and family or watching Korean dramas.
