Mike Curb is the Chairman of Curb Records. His company was honored by Billboard Magazine as the 2001 Billboard Country Music Label of the Year.
Mr. Curb has been a member of the World Board of Governors of the USO and served on the Board of Directors for the Dole Food Company, the Economic Growth Board for the State of Tennessee, The Academy of Country Music, the Country Music Association, and the Country Music Foundation, which operated the Country Music Hall of Fame.
In 1978, Mr. Curb was elected California’s Lieutenant Governor. Mr. Curb previously served as a member of the Board of Regents for the University of California and the Board of Trustees for the California State Universities. He is the recipient of a Doctor of Law Degree from Pepperdine University. The Mike Curb School of Music Business at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee was dedicated in 1995. Mr. Curb served as Chairman of the Board for the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. He was recently honored as Father of the Year by the National Father’s Day Council and has been inducted into the National Business Hall of Fame.
