In August 2017, the Global Leadership Forum (GLF) announced the appointment of Kendall Norris as its first Chief Executive Officer. He has worked with the GLF as a volunteer since its inception. Bringing people together to work toward a common goal is at the crux of the work he has undertaken.

GLF’s mission is to, with the aid of its partners, inspire young African Americans in science, technology, engineering, and math, as well as help older individuals get the experience in these fields to advance to senior positions. Through the member organizations, GLF offers many programs such as Vision 2020, the IT Institute, Student IT Education & Scholarships, Internships and Career Placement, which all aim to increase the number of diverse college graduates and professionals who are prepared to meet the growing demand for STEM disciplines. Meeting this need will ensure that our nation has the highest proportion of workforce-ready resources by 2020.

Previously, he was global technology services managing director with Deloitte for seven years. In addition, he held leadership roles with corporations such as TRW, EDS, USG and American Airlines. Norris’s new path has him collaborating with leaders and supporters of the highest level. Currently, GLF is working with eight organizations such as Information Technology Senior Management Forum, Black Data Processing Associates and Career Communications Group, Inc.

Kendall’s experience also includes creating global strategies and developing business and teams in international markets during assignments in Mexico, Chile, Brazil, and Japan. He has consistently leveraged his abilities as a multi-lingual (English, Spanish, and Portuguese) executive to develop long term client relationships; global expansion initiatives and lead business development opportunities in multiple cultures and languages.

Kendall also supports professional development and social causes. He is a Board Member of the Department of Computing and Informatics at Lipscomb University. He is a member of the Board of Directors and Marketing Chair for ITSMF, and VP of Communications for the Middle TN chapter of BDPA. He has also led several international mission teams.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from John Carroll University and a Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University. He is a systems engineering subject matter expert and a Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
