Then press the Print Button at the top to print your form. Click here to start REGISTRATION & FEES: Enrollment is limited to 50 participants. Applications will be accepted in the order received. The registration form is included as a part of this brochure. The Institute fee is $1,250 per person, $1,440 if sent after April 14. This fee covers course lectures, laboratory sessions, interpretation workshops, the Institute Proceedings, the Institute banquet, and coffee breaks. It does not cover housing and meal costs or cost of textbook or the desk book. LOCATION: The Institute is held in the Stevenson Science Center, Vanderbilt University, using the facilities kindly made available by the Physics Department HOUSING AND MEALS: Vanderbilt's Rand Hall Cafeteria is just a block from the Institute. In addition, the Vanderbilt campus is ringed with restaurants of all kinds. Registrants for the Institute should make their own reservations for housing. Faculty and most participants stay at the Holiday Inn Vanderbilt, 615-327-4707, which is now holding rooms for Institute participants who reserve before mid-April. Other nearby hotels or motels {in alphabetical order) are: Courtyard by Marriott, Hampton lnn, Hampton Inn and Suites at the University, and Loews Vanderbilt Plaza Hotel. TRANSPORTATION: Nashville, the capital of Tennessee, is a cosmopolitan city of over half-a-mi1lion people. Many airlines fly into the Nashville airport. Taxi fare to the campus is reasonable. Nashville is only a one- day drive from most of the eastern or central United States on Interstates 65, 40 or 24 EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: Probably best known for its country music and the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville is also a cultural and educational center. Historical sites abound in the area, including Andrew Jackson's famous home, the Hermitage. Nashville has the only fu1l-scale replica of the Parthenon in the world |
