Ms. Corey is a native of Chicago, Illinois and a 2010 graduate of her beloved alma mater, Fisk University. While at Fisk, Ms. Corey double majored in Psychology and Spanish. She served her university in many different capacities which included: T.H.R.U.S.T. counselor/mentor, a counselor/mentor for the Leading Edge Academy under the directorship of her former Professor, Erica Gilmore, Secretary for 2 years and President of Women of Perfection, Big Sister’s Mentoring and Etiquette Program, Chicagoland Fisk Club, and she also sang in the University Choir. In addition, she served as a hostess to many prospective students throughout her matriculation at Fisk. Ms. Corey has a strong passion for helping other people and truly wants to see young people achieve not only academically, but spiritually as well. She truly believes that God ordered her steps and blessed her to be a part of the Fisk family, and in return, she only wants to be a blessing and help other young people as well. It truly is a privilege and honor for Ms. Corey to be able to serve her beloved alma mater. Not only does she aspire to recruit the best and the brightest potential Fiskites, but she aims to impact, influence and encourage young people to be the best they can be, in and out of the classroom.
