Jonathon M. Frost
Jonathan is currently the Assistant Vice President for Development at Fisk University. He has spent over 10 years in the nonprofit industry concentrating on organizational leadership, donor development and operational management while ensuring implementation of value-added strategies that improve overall organizational efficiencies. During his tenure here at Fisk he has worked to advance stewardship practices, establish a student and volunteer call center, and develop relationships with corporate companies in the Middle Tennessee area. Jonathan has recently earned recognition as a 2013 finalist in the Nashville Emerging Leaders Award from the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and YP Nashville.
Prior to joining Fisk, he served as the Assistant Executive Director of Sigma Pi Fraternity and the Chief Operations Officer for the Sigma Pi Educational Foundation. During this time with the organization he visited over 100 universities in North America, worked with over 20,000 students and 300 volunteers on various leadership and organizational development initiatives. Jonathan successfully oversaw the installation of 20 new chapters, designed and executed over 15 national and regional educational leadership programs, and improved budget and cash-flow tracking systems that allowed for greater success in business development and planning strategies. In addition, under his leadership the Foundation saw an 18% increase in revenue due to his execution of a strategic marketing and development initiative that included a rebranding component, the recruitment and engagement of new volunteers including bank and corporate executives, CPA’s, and other experienced professionals, along with the establishment of a donor recognition program. His work with the Board of Trustees led to the formation of the Foundation’s first Strategic Plan, reduced time in audit completion, and the establishment up over 10 new scholarship funds. Jonathan serves as the Chairman of the Development Committee for the Foundation Board of Trustees.
Jonathan recently served as the 2013 Chairman for the Center for Nonprofit Salute to Excellence Board Member of the Year Committee, and participated on the planning committee for the 2013 Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association Advancement and Communications Officers Meeting
