Amelia E. Hunter, JD

About

Amelia E. Hunter is a Fisk alumna and received her law degree from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Texas Southern University.  She brings more than 25 years of experience in grantsmanship, sponsored programs/research management, and development of major and planned gifts to the niversity.  Most recently, Dr. Hunter was Director of Resource Development for Southern Echo, Inc., a nationally known leadership development, education and training organization working to develop effective accountable grassroots leadership in African-American communities of Mississippi and twelve other states.  Previously, she held appointments at Tougaloo College and Howard University.  A seasoned grants developer/writer and trainer, she has written proposals on diverse topics that resulted in funding from $25,000 to $500,000/year.
