Application Process

The application process involves admission of a completed application for admission to Fisk University between September 1 and March 1 of the applicant’s senior year in high school. Applicants who wish to be considered for financial aid for Fall or Spring are urged to apply no later than February 1 in order to receive full aid consideration. Many sources of financial aid are already fully committed after that date. However, financial aid application for Spring entrants are accepted until October 1. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the Office of Admission receives all credentials.

The application process is as follows:

  1. COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION FORM.

    Every question should be answered carefully and completely. Any false statement, or any omission of any fact in a student’s application, is grounds for denial of admission or for subsequent cancellation of the student’s registration. You may click here to obtain a printable version of the application and each form.

  2. WRITE YOUR ESSAY.

    The essay must be handwritten on the forms provided in the application.

  3. Obtain the sealed envelopes containing your official transcript with ACT or SAT test scores, the Instructor/Employer Recommendation and the School Report from the appropriate persons.

    The official record should be as complete as possible up to the time the application is submitted. If the student attended more than one secondary school or college, a transcript must be submitted from each school or college. Test results are usually included on the high school transcript. In the event this information is not included, the applicant must have the appropriate testing organization send the score directly to the Office of Admission.

  4. Submit all items and your application fee ($50 for U.S. citizens and $75 for international applicants) in the application envelope.
