Research Interests:

Optical logic as we perform it is quantum logic. It works with qbits and is perfectly reversible and cascadable before detection. These systems have neither energy loss nor time loss (other than latency) before detection. The simplest gates are XOR and COINC, although a NOR gate has been designed and is, of course, universal. The logic implemented is vector logic (coinvented with logician Jonathan Westphal at Idaho State University). Just as fuzzy logic subsumes Boolean logic, so vector logic subsumes fuzzy logic. The drawing above shows the relationships.
