Seeking Funding Sources
Office of Sponsored Programs: The OSP maintains information on
different sponsoring agencies, both federal and non-federal. A visit or
a call to the OSP is an important first step in the process of seeking
funds. If you notify the OSP of your interest in particular programs
and research specialty, notices of funding opportunities will be
electronically sent to you as they are identified.
Colleagues/Professional Organizations/Personal Contacts: Conversations
with colleagues may provide helpful information concerning funding
agencies and their current funding priorities. Also, direct dialogue
with the staff of various sponsor agencies may yield the same
information. Faculty are encouraged to visit program directors and
communicate via telephone or e-mail
Fund seekers are encouraged to consult the numerous references on
funding sources, including on-line resources and those available in
print. Click
