The minor in computer science is available to any student who is not majoring
in computer science. The program requires the successful completion (grade of
"C" or better) of 24 semester hours of courses in computer science, including: | CSCI 110/110-L | Introduction to Computer Science I (and Lab) |
| CSCI 120/120-L | Introduction to Computer Science II (and Lab) |
| CSCI 230/230-L | Introduction to Computer Architecture (and Lab) |
| CSCI 241 | Data Structures and Algorithms |
Other computer science courses to complete the minor may be selected, with
departmental approval, from among all other computer science courses that are
acceptable for the computer science major. Students wishing to minor in
computer science should obtain the advice of the Mathematics and Computer
Science Department as early as possible after deciding to pursue the minor. A
faculty member from the department will be assigned to assist the student's
major advisor with the construction and execution of an appropriate study plan.
