Vinita Holman

Bio

Ms. Holman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Fisk University, where she is a faculty member since 1987. She received MBA with concentration in Accounting from the University of California – Berkeley, 1978; and BS in Business Administration, concentration in Organizational Behavior, San Jose State University, San Jose, CA, 1976.

 

Since 1988, she is providing consulting services for not-for-profit and for-profit entities, specializing in general accounting services, governmental grant management, and Total Quality Management services. Since 1987, she is maintaining active C.P.A. status, fulfilling 40-hour/year CPE requirement, course work includes such titles as: Internal Auditing:  Liabilities and Equity (IIA), Internal Auditing:  Environmental Law and International Business Law (IIA), Small Business Retirement Plans, International Accounting Standards:  Treatment of Assets (IIA), Communicating Audit Results, Corporate - Taxable Income (2004).

           

She has taught several courses in Accounting: Auditing, Accounting Information Systems, Advanced Financial Accounting, CPA Review, Federal Taxation—Individuals, Federal Taxation—Corporations, Cost Accounting, Not-for-Profit Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I and II, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Business Law, Investments, Organizational Behavior, Introduction to Management, and Principles of Accounting I and II.           

 

She was awarded “Outstanding Teacher in Business Administration” two years in a row.
