Fisk University adopted SunGard HE Banner in 1999 as our administration system. Banner is an enterprise application that the campus uses to manage administrative information ranging from student grades and schedules to human resources and budget information. Banner is an integrated database system, meaning that multiple applications/software share its information. Internet native Banner (INB) is an interface used by campus business departments to access the Banner data. Banner Web Self Service (SSB) is an interface used by individuals to access data that pertains specifically to them and their own records. Other software related to the Banner systems include the business intelligence and reporting tool, evisions products (FormFusion, Intellecheck, etc), OneCard, and RazorsEdge.
Access to Banner requires an individual account. At this time, student accounts are created upon acceptance to the University. However, we are working toward providing this resource to our prospective students. Faculty and Staff accounts must be created and maintained using the Banner security policy. All students, faculty, staff, and alumni have access to Banner Web Self Service using their Banner ID and pin number. The level of permissions in Banner Web Self Service is dependent upon the security class and roles you are assigned in the Banner system. If you have questions regarding Banner accounts or permissions, please send an email to itshelp@fisk.edu.
