Travel Directions

Nashville is served by three major interstates, I-40, I-24 and I-65.
If you drive to Nashville, the best way to get to Fisk University is to get to Interstate 40.

To reach Fisk University:

A) Approaching Nashville from I-65 (Northbound)
From I-65 N take the exit to I-40 West. Once on I-40 W, move towards the right hand lane.
Take Exit 209 (Charlotte Ave.) and follow the brown informational signs to Fisk University.
Left to Charlotte, then right onto D. B. Todd. Go over the short bridge, then take a right onto Jackson St.
Take the first right hand entry and park in the lot behind Dubois Hall (Physics Bldg.)

NOTE: There are three 209 exits on I-40: 209, 209A and 209B. Take ONLY 209.

B) Approaching Nashville from I-24 (Westbound):
From I-24 W take the exit to I-40 West. Once on I-40 W, go past the I-40 to I-65 junction remaining on I-40 W.
Follow the above directions (A) to get to Charlotte Ave. and Fisk University.

C) Reaching us from the Airport (I-40 Westbound)
Take I-40 West. Once on I-40 W, move towards the right hand lane.
Take Exit 209 (Charlotte Ave.) and follow the brown informational signs to Fisk University.
Left to Charlotte, then right onto D.  B. Todd. Go over the short bridge, then take a right onto Jackson St.
Take the first right hand entry and park in the lot behind Dubois Hall (Physics Bldg.)
